Get up and running with Hydrogene in under 5 minutes
This guide will help you set up your first project and create a fertilizer recipe in under 5 minutes.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A Hydrogene account (sign up at hydrogene.pro)
- Soil analysis results from a laboratory
- Basic understanding of your target crop requirements
Step 1: Create a Project
- Log in to your Hydrogene dashboard
- Click New Project in the top navigation
- Enter a project name (e.g., “Greenhouse Tomatoes 2024”)
- Select your growing method (soil, hydroponic, or coco)
- Click Create Project

Step 2: Add Soil Analysis
Navigate to your project and add your first soil analysis:
- Click Add Analysis
- Choose your input method:
- Manual Entry: Enter values from your lab report
- Import: Upload a CSV or PDF from supported labs
- Fill in the required fields:
- pH
- EC (mS/cm)
- Macronutrient levels (N, P, K)
- Any available micronutrients
- Click Save Analysis
Tip: Label your analyses with dates and zones for easy tracking.
Step 3: Select Target Profile
Choose the nutrient target for your crop:
- Go to Recipes → New Recipe
- Select a pre-built profile or create custom
- Adjust for growth stage if needed
Step 4: Generate Recipe
With your analysis and target profile selected:
- Click Calculate Recipe
- Review the recommended fertilizer amounts
- Adjust based on available products
- Save or export your recipe
